Common Questions
Essential answers about household sharing, multiple children, offline tracking, and settings
How do I share with a partner or caregiver?
Household owners can invite caregivers in household settings by entering their email address. Hungry Baby creates an invite link and share code specifically for that caregiver. When they accept the invite or enter the code, they join your household, and all nursing sessions, bottles, diaper changes, solids meals, and pumping logs sync across everyone's devices in real time.
Can I track twins or multiple children?
Yes. You can add separate child profiles for each baby and switch between them with a single tap in the tracker header. Each child maintains their own independent feeding, diaper, and growth history within your shared household.
How does offline mobile syncing work?
On the mobile app, new feed, pumping, and diaper entries can be logged without an active internet connection and are saved safely to your device. Once your phone reconnects to Wi-Fi or cellular data, pending offline entries sync automatically with your household.
How do I customize feeding modes and optional features?
In household settings, you have full control over what appears in your tracker. You can choose exactly which feeding options you use (Nursing, Bottle, Solids, and Pumping) and toggle optional tools like Milk Stash, Weighted Nursing, Diapers, and Baby Weight on or off at any time. Hiding a feeding mode or feature streamlines your buttons and cards without deleting any previously saved entries.

How do I record a weighted feed in Hungry Baby?
Weigh your baby on an infant scale immediately before nursing and enter the pre-feed weight in the nursing entry. Run your left and right timers or enter duration. Immediately after nursing, weigh your baby again wearing the exact same diaper and clothing, then enter the post-feed weight. Hungry Baby automatically calculates how much milk your baby drank and displays the estimated volume in ounces or milliliters.
How does Hungry Baby calculate milk transfer from scale weights?
The app automatically subtracts the pre-feed scale weight from the post-feed weight. For volume display, 1 gram of breast milk is approximately equal to 1 milliliter (and about 30 grams equals 1 fluid ounce). The calculated transfer is shown on your feeding card alongside your nursing duration.
Can I record the pre-feed weight as a growth weigh-in?
Yes. When logging a weighted feed, check the companion box to record the pre-feed weight directly to your baby's growth chart. This keeps your growth trajectory up to date without cluttering charts with unselected feeds.

How does breast milk stash tracking work in Hungry Baby?
When Milk Stash is enabled in your household settings, Hungry Baby tracks live balances across Fridge and Freezer storage. Pumping sessions can deposit fresh milk directly into either location, and bottle feedings can automatically deduct stored milk.
How does bottle deduction work?
When logging a breastmilk bottle, select Fridge or Freezer as the milk source. Hungry Baby subtracts the bottle volume directly from your stored balance in that location.
How do I set starting balances or reconcile my freezer?
Open the Milk Stash Manager from your tracker dashboard or household settings. You can set starting balances for fridge and freezer locations, record manual adjustments after thawing or donating milk, and review recent stash activity.

How do starter presets and the household food library work?
Hungry Baby includes quick-tap starter presets (like Avocado, Banana, Sweet Potato, Oatmeal, Apple, Carrot, Yogurt, and Egg). You can also add custom foods to your household food library, where they stay available for quick re-use across future meals.
What intake levels can I record for solids?
You can record four qualitative intake levels for each meal: Refused, Tasted, Ate Some, or Ate Most. You can also attach quick notes like Enjoyed, Self-Fed, Unsure, Distracted, Gagged, or Spit It Out, along with optional freeform notes.

How do I create a report in Hungry Baby?
Open the tracker and tap the Report button in the header. Choose a date range (Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 30 Days, or custom dates), select your detail level (Summary or Summary + Entries), and customize which tracking modules to include. Then tap Print / Save PDF on web or Share / Save PDF on mobile.
What is the difference between Summary and Summary + Entries?
Summary produces concise daily rollups, active-day averages, food introduction badges, and observation counts. Summary + Entries includes all of those rollups plus a chronological list of every individual logged entry during the period.
Can I choose whether to include caregiver notes?
Yes. Typed caregiver notes are excluded by default and included only when you select that option before generating the report.
How do I share or print a report on mobile vs. web?
On the web, creating a report opens your browser’s print preview to print directly or save as a PDF. On iOS and Android, the mobile app generates a PDF file and opens your device’s native share sheet to send or save via your preferred installed apps.
